Jeff Tyner

Jeff Tyner is a filmmaker from St. George, SC who grew up playing hockey at the Carolina Ice Palace (where The Late Game was shot) since its opening in 1997. Before making his directorial debut with The Late Game, Tyner worked primarily in sports. In addition to stints with the Charleston-based South Carolina Stingrays and Charleston Riverdogs, Tyner cut his teeth creating documentary content in the world of college football for the subscription-based GamecockCentral.com.

An avid beer leaguer currently based out of Littleton, CO, Tyner began the writing process of The Late Game in 2020 with the hopes of shooting his first narrative short film. After consulting with producer Jeffrey M. Zucker, the script was expanded to feature length and the duo never looked back.
